Here are five notes:
1. Mr. McCluskey most recently served as CEO of HCA Virginia’s Parham Doctors’ Hospital, also in Richmond.
2. He will serve below Greg Lowe, who was named CEO of Chippenham Hospital in Richmond and Johnston-Willis Hospital in October 2016.
3. While Mr. Lowe will be responsible for coordination between the two hospitals and will have ultimate say in both hospital’s operations. Mr. McCluskey will oversee only Johnston-Willis Hospital.
4. The CEO role at Johnston-Willis Hospital was created to “provide additional strategic capability,” a hospital statement said, according to the report.
5. Mr. McCluskey holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University.
