Dr. Schroeder, an internal medicine hospitalist and palliative care physician by training, has previously served as the senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO at Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich. He has also served as a flight surgeon and an internist with the Air National Guard.
Dr. Schroeder is a clinical associate professor of medicine at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Lansing and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Central Michigan University College of Medicine in Mount Pleasant.
Dr. Schroeder takes over at Covenant Medical Center from Craig Rhyne, MD, who had been serving in a dual role as the medical center’s CMO as well as Covenant’s regional CMO. Dr. Rhyne will now focus his efforts on serving as regional CMO.
