Joe Norris. CIO of New Hanover Regional Medical Center (Wilmington, N.C.). Mr. Norris joined New Hanover Regional Medical Center in 2011 as chief technology officer and was appointed CIO in 2014. Previously, he held various roles at Greenville, N.C.-based East Carolina University, including associate vice chancellor/CIO and chief technology officer. Mr. Norris, who earned an MBA from Minneapolis-based Walden University, led the systems and operations departments at BB&T Corp. and was a senior analyst with Glaxo Wellcome, which later merged with SmithKline Beecham to become GlaxoSmithKline.
