Washington, Ind.-based Daviess Community Hospital has named Christy Mehringer CFO, effective Dec. 16.

Ms. Mehringer comes to the hospital with more than 20 years of financial leadership experience, according to a Nov. 25 news release. She most recently served as director of system financial operations, reporting and planning for Columbus (Ind.) Regional Health.

In a previous role at Jasper, Ind.-based Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, she oversaw all revenue activities and worked closely with IT and clinical teams during a full Epic implementation, according to the release. As director of financial applications/IT, she was responsible for the Epic implementation across hospital billing, professional billing, patient access, coding and related third-party systems. She helped develop and manage a $39 million Epic capital budget and delivered a successful go-live in 10 months.

She will use that experience as Daviess Community Hospital undergoes its own Epic transition in 2026.

“Change management is the key to a successful Epic implementation,” she said. “It requires understanding current processes, preparing teams for workflow changes, and involving IT, clinical, and operational leaders early and often. For DCH, Epic presents a tremendous opportunity to automate manual tasks, strengthen financial operations, and allow staff more time for analysis and problem-solving.”
