Humana downsizes Wisconsin office

Humana is leasing off part of its De Pere, Wis. campus as mobile and work-from-home initiatives have decreased the need for space, Fox 11 News reports.

While talks of the move began two years ago, Humana has now agreed to sell the campus and lease back part of its office space over a 10-year deal.

At 2,000 employees, Humana is the second-largest employer in De Pere. The insurer said it will retain all of those employees throughout the campus downsizing.

The move returns 80 acres of undeveloped land to potential buyers, which Fox 11 News reports mostly will be developed into both a commercial and residential district.
