HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital selects CEO: 4 notes

Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System appointed Joan Coffman president and CEO of its St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Ill., effective Sept. 5, according to a Herald & Review report.

Here are four things to know about Ms. Coffman.

1. She joins St. Mary’s Hospital from Chippewa Falls, Wis.-based HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she serves as president and CEO.

2. Ms. Coffman replaces Dan Perryman, former CEO and president of St. Mary’s Hospital. Mr. Perryman left his post June 1.

3. Ms. Coffman earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans, the report states.

4. She is an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow.
