HCA hospitals make 10 executive changes

HCA Healthcare, a for-profit hospital operator based in Nashville, Tenn., has made leadership changes at several of its hospitals this month. 

The changes follow HCA's creation of new operating groups this past fall. 

Here are 10 moves at HCA hospitals, reported by Becker's on or after Jan. 9: 

1. Tom Ozburn was named CEO of HCA's Nashville-based TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Mr. Ozburn replaces Scott Cihak, who resigned Jan. 3 for personal reasons.

2. Chris Mosley was named CEO of HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, effective in early March.

3. Arabinda Pani, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, effective Jan. 2.

4. David Paniry was named CFO of HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate, effective Jan. 23. 

5. Cathy Edmisten, RN, became CEO of HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center on Jan. 16.

6. Christy Maraone was named vice president of marketing and corporate affairs of Houston-based HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast division, effective Jan. 17.

7. Mark Miller was named CEO of HCA Healthcare's TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, according to a Jan. 9 hospital Facebook post. Mr. Miller replaces Dustin Greene, who helmed the hospital since February 2020. 

8. Allen Harrison joined Dallas-based Medical City Healthcare, a division of HCA, as division president.

9. Kristin Dyer joined Medical City Healthcare as CFO.

10. Kevin Klauer, DO, was named chief medical officer for two HCA hospitals — HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital.
