Ms. Edmisten has served Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare for 12 years, according to a Jan. 16 news release from the hospital operator. Most recently, she was the chief operating officer of HCA Virginia Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond.
Prior to her role in Virginia, Ms. Edmisten held various leadership roles within HCA’s West Florida Division, which also houses the South Shore Hospital, between 2011 and 2021. She served two months as interim CEO of South Shore Hospital in 2020.
