HCA Florida hospital taps CEO

Gabe Bullaro has been named CEO of HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, effective April 14.

Mr. Bullaro has held leadership roles within Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare for more than a decade, most recently serving as CEO of HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, according to an April 14 health system news release.

During his tenure at HCA Florida West, the hospital launched comprehensive stroke and transcatheter aortic valve replacement programs and began a $130 million expansion of hospital services, the release said.

In his new role, Mr. Bullaro will lead the 532-bed acute care hospital, along with its affiliated freestanding emergency rooms and outpatient centers.
