Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Wells currently served as COO of the physician enterprise and vice president of experience at Park Ridge Health in Hendersonville, N.C.
2. During his tenure at Park Ridge Health, Mr. Wells helped add 50 physicians and providers and several new specialties.
3. He takes over from Kevin Erich, who has been leading the hospital on an interim basis.
4. Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital is a part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health.
