Franciscan Alliance has appointed four new leaders to key executive roles as the nonprofit Catholic health system undergoes leadership changes tied to recent retirements.
The Mishawaka, Ind.-based health system announced the new appointments in a July 2 press release shared with Becker’s.
Here are the new appointments:
- Gerald Maloney, DO, has been named chief medical officer after nearly 20 years as a physician executive at Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger, where he most recently served as CMO.
- Michael Englehart was appointed senior vice president for Franciscan Physician Network, Specialty Physicians of Illinois and Franciscan Post-Acute Services. He previously served as CEO of Presence Health, where he led a $210 million financial turnaround.
- Joseph Schnecker, MD, has been promoted to chief medical information officer. He joined Franciscan in 2001 during his residency and has served in various leadership roles, most recently as medical director of information services. He succeeds Dick Roskman, MD, who recently retired as CMIO.
- Tim Murphy has been named vice president of strategy. He previously served as COO and CFO for Franciscan Physician Network, Specialty Physicians of Illinois and Franciscan Post-Acute Services.
