Mr. Benson spent 25 years at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo, beginning as an administrative fellow. He oversaw the expansion of the Mayo Clinical Care Network from inception to more than 45 nonprofit health systems in the U.S. and abroad, according to an Aug. 9 news release.
“[Mr. Benson] has an unparalleled understanding of how organizations in the hospital industry can create value together short of change of control transactions,” the firm stated.
