Florida system taps flagship campus president

Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Health Care System has appointed a longtime leader as the president of its Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Sarasota campus.

Frank Morgan has served as COO of the campus since October 2024, according to a Dec. 1 health system news release shared with Becker’s. In his new role as president, he will oversee day-to-day operations and overall performance of the flagship 897-bed hospital. He will also collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders on the health system’s strategic goals.

Before becoming COO, Mr. Morgan was vice president of the health system’s ambulatory services division, which includes more than a dozen outpatient centers across the region. He joined the system in 2002 as an administrative fellow.

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System comprises two full-service hospitals, freestanding ERs, a rehabilitation hospital and behavioral health hospital, skilled nursing facility, and a comprehensive network of outpatient sites.
