Edward-Elmhurst Health Cardiac Innovations & Structural Heart Center names Dr. Mark Goodwin medical director

Naperville, Ill.-based Edward-Elmhurst Health Cardiac Innovations & Structural Heart Center selected Mark Goodwin, MD, to serve as medical director, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Dr. Goodwin is an interventional cardiologist with Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Medical Group. He completed his residency and fellowship at Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine.

Dr. Goodwin will collaborate with fellow physicians and administration in his new role to oversee the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies, innovations and procedures in cardiac care.

“Dr. Goodwin has been an outstanding clinician, leader and partner in cardiovascular services for more than 25 years,” said Pam Davis, CEO of Edward-Elmhurst Health, reports the Chicago Tribune. “His appointment to this newly created position will help us remain the #1 cardiovascular program in this region and among the best in the nation.”
