Dr. Mark Kelley to Retire, Henry Ford Names Replacements

Mark Kelley, MD, has announced he will retire as executive vice president and CMO of Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System and CEO of Henry Ford Medical Group at the end of this year, according to a report by Crain's Detroit Business.

Henry Ford has named Dr. Kelley's replacements. John Popovich, MD, has been appointed executive vice president and CMO of the health system. He is currently the president and CEO of Henry Ford Hospital.

Bill Conway, MD, will be interim executive vice president and CEO of the medical group until a permanent replacement is named. Dr. Conway is the chief quality officer of the health system, according to the report.

Dr. Kelley is retiring to start a 2013 Harvard University Advanced Leadership Fellowship, according to the report.
