Alan Shatzel, DO, has been named CEO of Sacramento-based Mercy Medical Group, according to Sacramento Business Journal.
Dr. Shatzel replaces Gregory Cooper, DPM, who served as Mercy's CEO since 2011 and CMO for nine years prior.
Dr. Shatzel earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Des Moines (Iowa) University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
