In March, it seemed as though DocuSign had finally found a fresh leader. But right before a planned public announcement of its new CEO, DocuSign cancelled event, claiming the candidate had taken a position at “another company with unlimited resources,” according to the report.
That company was Google, and the candidate was Rick Osterloh, who’s served as senior vice president of hardware at Alphabet since April, according to Bloomberg.
Yet the situation remains ambiguous — Mr. Osterloh didn’t respond to Bloomberg‘s inquiries, and both Google and Mr. Krach declined to comment. DocuSign says it’s still looking for potential candidates, and knowledgeable sources claim the company hopes to choose a candidate by July.
