Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas appoints new president, chief nursing officer

Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas in Austin tapped Christopher Born to serve as president and Elizabeth Fredeboelling, MSN, RN, as chief nursing officer.

Mr. Born most recently worked at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where he served in numerous leadership roles, including as president and CEO of Texas Children’s Health Plan. He also helped create a pediatric primary care network for Texas Children’s. He serves on the board of directors for the Texas Association of Health Plans. He will begin his new role at Dell Children’s Oct. 9.

Ms. Fredeboelling comes to Dell Children’s from Memorial Hermann in Houston. Over the years, she served as interim CNO for the Memorial Hermann’s Texas Medical Center in Houston as well as vice president and CNO for Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, also in Houston. She previously spent seven years as the director of special care areas at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. She will assume her new role at Dell Children’s Nov. 5.
