Joan Pirrung, MSN, APRN, has been named president of ChristianaCare Cecil County Campus in Elkton, Md.
Ms. Pirrung had served as interim president since March 2025. She previously held the roles of chief nursing officer at the campus and vice president of patient care services for nursing at Union Hospital.
A ChristianaCare leader since 1993, Ms. Pirrung brings more than 23 years of progressive leadership experience across emergency, surgical and trauma services. She also played a key role in integration efforts when Union Hospital joined Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare.
