Jordan Orange, MD, PhD, is rejoining Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as pediatrician-in-chief after serving as physician-in-chief at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Orange completed his pediatric residency at CHOP and was later named chair of pediatric immunology research. He has helped discover 29 novel genetic diseases, according to an Oct. 22 news release from CHOP.
He previously served as chair of the pediatrics department at Columbia University in New York City. Before that, he was chief of immunology, allergy and rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine and director of the Center for Human Immunobiology at Texas Children’s Hospital, both based in Houston.
In addition to his role as pediatrician-in-chief, Dr. Orange was also named chair of the pediatrics department at CHOP and at the University of Pennsylvania’s school of medicine.
