Children’s Wisconsin names chief strategy officer

Harrison Burns has been appointed chief strategy officer of Milwaukee-based Children’s Wisconsin.

In his role, Mr. Burns will oversee long-term strategic planning and initiatives to strengthen the organization’s clinical programs, partnerships and regional reach, according to a Nov. 20 health system news release. The strategic planning, marketing and communication functions will report to him.

Mr. Burns previously served as a partner at The Chartis Group, where he led or supported strategic planning for more than 30 academic health systems, integrated delivery networks and children’s hospitals. Before that, he worked at life sciences consulting firm Xcenda and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
