Here are four things to know about Mr. McBride.
1. In his new role, he will focus on CHI St. Luke’s six suburban hospitals —The Woodlands (Texas) Hospital, Lakeside Hospital in The Woodlands, Sugar Land (Texas) Hospital, Patients Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas, The Vintage Hospital in Houston and Springwoods Village n Spring, Texas — by working with each hospital’s leadership team to advance strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiencies.
2. He joins CHI St. Luke’s from SCL Health, where he served as president and CEO of St. Mary’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo.
3. Prior to SCL Health, Mr. McBride served eight years with CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio in a number of operational roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately as regional vice president with multiple hospital accountabilities.
4. Mr. McBride earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Master of Science from Trinity University in San Antonio. He also completed an administrative residency at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas.
