Cardinal Executives Exit as Merger with Clarian Moves Forward

Four top executives at Muncie, Ind.-based Cardinal Health System have resigned as the health system’s merger with Indianapolis-based Clarian Health moves forward, according to a report in the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Cardinal CEO Kelly Stanley will retire by the end of the year. Robert Gildersleeve, CFO of Cardinal, Tom Gardiner, MD, executive vice president of clinical development, and Brent Batman, CEO of Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, will all leave their posts this month.
