Boston Medical Center selects Dr. Jennifer Tseng as surgery chief: 3 points

Boston Medical Center named Jennifer Tseng, MD, chief of surgery. Dr. Tseng will also serve as chair of the department of surgery at Boston University School of Medicine.

Here are three points:

1. Dr. Tseung previously served as chief of surgical oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, both based in Boston.

2. Prior to that, she was the founding director of Surgical Outcomes Analysis & Research, a research initiative, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worchester.

3. She has completed a research fellowship in molecular medicine at Harvard Medical School/Children’s Hospital Boston as well as a clinical fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
