Katie Scott, MSN, RN, has been named chief operating officer of Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas.
Ms. Scott’s COO appointment took effect Dec. 8, according to a Jan. 15 news release. She had served as interim COO since August. Prior to joining Ascension Providence, Ms. Scott served as interim COO and chief nursing officer of Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas in Austin.
Ascension Providence is part of St. Louis-based Ascension. It includes one hospital and two express care locations.
