Previously, Mr. Doloresco worked as a division president for Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corp. of America. He told the newspaper he also has “extensive experience” in working with financially strained hospitals.
In March, exactly one year after opening, 36-bed Florence Hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Former CEO David Wanger said the hospital’s profit margin and days cash on hand did not meet lease requirements due to lagging patient volumes.
