American Hospital Association Names 9 Trustees for 2014

The American Hospital Association has named eight new members to its board of trustees for three-year terms and one member to fill a one-year vacancy.

The eight trustees serving three-year terms, which will begin Jan. 1, 2014 include:

•    Alan Aviles, president and CEO of New York City Health and Hospitals Corp.
•    Kris Doody, RN, CEO of Cary Medical Center in Caribou, Maine.
•    Brian Gragnolati, senior vice president at Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore.
•    Daniel Gross, RN, executive vice president at Sharp HealthCare in San Diego
•    Constance Howes, president and CEO of Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island in Providence.
•    Steven Rose, RN, CEO of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and Physician Network in Seaford, Del.
•    John Vassall, MD, CMO of Swedish Health Services in Seattle.
•    Larry Veitz, CEO of Spearfish (S.D.) Regional Hospital.

Eugene Woods, executive vice president and COO of CHRISTUS Health in Irving, Texas, will fill the one-year vacancy.
