Alabama hospital taps CEO

Jarrod Johnson has been appointed CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based UAB Callahan Eye Hospital, effective Oct. 1.

Mr. Johnson has 25 years of healthcare and leadership experience, according to a Sept. 25 news release from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He previously served as president of UPMC Carlisle (Pa.), where he led recruitment efforts and expanded service lines, the release said.
