Airica Steed, EdD, RN. Chief Experience Officer of University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System (Chicago). Ms. Steed, 37, is the first person to hold the CXO title for UI Health. She is charged with leading an enterprisewide cultural and operational transformation effort to elevate the organizational experience for patients, providers, families and staff. Prior to her current role, Ms. Steed served as vice president of professional services and operations excellence for Chicago-based Advocate Health Care, where she was the youngest minority executive leader among over 29,000 employees. She has served on the board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds an MBA from Governors State University in University Park, Ill., and a doctorate in ethical leadership from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill.
