9 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Bill Masterton, CEO of Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C., resigned to take a new job in Louisiana.

2. Mimbres Memorial Hospital in Deming, N.M., appointed Kelly Duke CEO, effective April 25.

3. Mercy Health - Cincinnati named Michael W. Garfield CEO and senior vice president of the Cincinnati Region.

4. Los Angeles-based St. Vincent Medical Center named Frank Cracolici, RN, CEO.

5. The American Hospital Association named Maureen Swick, PhD, RN, the CEO of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and senior vice president, nursing of the AHA.

6. Owensboro (Ky.) Health named Greg Strahan interim president and CEO.

7. Stanford (Calif.) Health Care appointed David Entwistle president and CEO, effective July 5.

8. Copley Health Systems in Morrisville, Vt., named Arthur "Art" Mathisen president and CEO.

9. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) fired Ron Adler, the CEO of Western State Hospital, a Lakewood, Wash.-based psychiatric facility, after two patients deemed "dangerous" escaped.
