8 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Kaiser Permanente selected Gregory A. Adams to serve as chairman and CEO of the Oakland, Calif.-based healthcare giant.

2. Beverly Annarumo, CEO of Ellwood City (Pa.) Medical Center, will step down from her role Jan. 3.  

3. Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke, Colo., named Cathy Harshbarger, BSN, RN, interim CEO.

4. Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Mo., named Angela P. Littrell president and CEO.

5. Hillsboro (Kan.) Community Hospital tapped Bill May to serve as interim CEO.

6. Dallas-based Methodist Health System selected Jim Scoggin to serve as CEO.

7. Nantucket (Mass.) Cottage Hospital selected Gary Shaw to serve as president and CEO.

8. Greensburg, Pa.-based Excela Health appointed John Sphon permanent CEO.
