Ms. Harshbarger is chief clinical officer at Melissa Memorial. She will cover the interim CEO and chief clinical officer positions simultaneously — with help from other managers and leaders, according to the report.
She has previously worked as CNO, interim CEO and CEO of Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, Calif.
At Melissa Memorial, Ms. Harshbarger will take over for CEO Trampas Hutches, who is resigning and will begin a new job in Maine next year. The search for a permanent CEO is underway.
