Here are five things to know about the executives, who will serve a three-year term starting Jan. 1, 2016.
Lamont M. Yoder, RN, MSN, was elected to serve as treasurer of AONE.
1. In this role, Mr. Yoder will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing the group’s activities related to financial planning and budgeting, officials said. He also will serve as chairman of the AONE Finance Committee and represent AONE on the American Hospital Association’s board of operations.
2. Mr. Yoder is currently CEO of Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Ariz.
3. He has been with Banner Health since 2010 and held various nursing leadership positions before becoming CEO of Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson in 2015.
Rachel Behrendt, DNP, RN, was named to the AONE Board of Directors, Region 8.
4. Dr. Behrendt is currently CNO of Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix.
5. She has been with Banner since 2013, where she serves as a member of the academic medical center’s senior leadership team. She also has more than 25 years of clinical and administrative experience in academic healthcare settings.
