5 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Sanford-based Central Florida Regional Hospital appointed Trey Abshier CEO, effective Feb. 4.

2. Kinston, N.C.-based UNC Lenoir Health Care hired James D. Dennard Jr., to serve as president and CEO, effective in March.

3. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare appointed Tim Puthoff CEO of its Alabama and Tennessee Group as well as CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.

4. John Scherpf will serve as CEO of Banner-University Medical Center Tucson (Ariz.) and Banner-University Medical Center South, also in Tucson.

5. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems appointed Michael J. Stenger permanent CEO of Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, effective Jan. 14.
