Sanford-based Central Florida Regional Hospital appointed Trey Abshier CEO, effective Feb. 4.

1. Mr. Abshier most recently served as CEO of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center.

2. He also has experience serving as CEO Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

3. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

5. Mr. Abshier succeeds Wendy Brandon, who left to take on the CEO role at UCF Lake Nona Medical Center in Orlando, Fla.
