Here is a list of 30 recent hospital and health system executive moves, in order from most to least recent.

1. Eric Looper, CEO of Indiana’s St. Joseph Hospital
Mr. Looper will join the administrative team at St. Joseph on Nov. 15. He most recently served as senior vice president at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., and previously worked at Henryetta (Okla.) Medical Center as CEO.

2. Roger Oberg, CEO of South Dakota’s Brookings Health Center
Mr. Oberg has announced his retirement from Brookings Health Center just 14 months after accepting the position. He will be temporarily replaced by the hospital’s CFO, Kevin Coffey.

3. Kirk Wilson, CEO of Atlanta’s Saint Joseph’s Health System
Mr. Wilson has announced his resignation from Saint Joseph’s. The system is currently considering several strategic options, including a sale, to improve finances.

4. David Kapaska, MD, CEO of South Dakota’s Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center
Dr. Kapaska has been named regional president and CEO of Avera McKennan. He has served as interim regional president of the hospital since September.

5. Kenneth Cochran, CEO of Ohio’s East Liverpool City Hospital
Mr. Cochran replaces Mel Creely as president and CEO of East Liverpool City Hospital. He has more than 15 years of healthcare experience and most recently served as CEO of Cibola General Hospital in Grants, N.M.

6. Glen Grady, interim administrator of Wisconsin’s St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital
Mr. Grady left St. Joseph’s Memorial on Friday, Oct. 29. He has served as the hospital’s interim administrator since April.

7. Donnie L. Romine, president of Florida’s St. Luke’s Hospital
Mr. Romine will start work at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville on Nov. 22. He currently serves as the CEO of Weatherford (Texas) Regional Medical Center.

8. Kent Rogers, CEO of Oklahoma’s Valley View Regional Hospital
Mr. Rogers will begin work at Valley View, which is managed by Mercy Health Care Systems of Oklahoma, on Nov. 1. He replaces 15-year Mercy employee Bob Thompson, who will remain with the system in a consulting role.

9. Mary Lynn Wright, president of a Madison, Ala.-based hospital.
Ms. Wright, who currently serves as vice president of surgical services at Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital, has been named president of a hospital to open in Madison, Ala., in Feb. 2012.

10. Jerry Paule, CFO of Washington’s Kennewick General Hospital
Mr. Paule, the new CFO of Kennewick General, has worked in healthcare finance since 1984 and most recently served as CFO and COO of Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo.

11. David Robertson, president and CEO of West Virginia’s Mon General Hospital
Mr. Robertson has announced he will leave Mon General to become senior vice president of VHA in Irving, Texas. His last day with the facility will be Jan. 31, 2011.

12. Sam Huenergardt, president and CEO of Central Texas Medical Center.
Mr. Huenergardt, the new president and CEO of CTMC, currently serves as COO for Gordon Hospital, an Adventist Health System facility in Calhoun, Ga. He will start work at CTMC on Dec. 6.

13. Philip P. Rosenthal, executive director of New York City’s Lenox Hill Hospital.
Lenox Hill Hospital has named Mr. Rosenthal executive director. He has been with Lenox Hill Hospital since 1980, most recently as chief administrative officer.

14. Keith Newton, CFO of Alabama’s South Baldwin Regional Medical Center
Mr. Newton has started work as CFO of South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala., following his departure from Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Ga.

15. Ron Seal, CEO of Texas’ Texoma Medical Center
Mr. Seal will begin work at TMC on Nov. 1, 2010. Current CEO W. Mackey Watkins, MD, will remain at the hospital through November to ease the transition.

16. Stephen J. Scannell, CFO of Northern Michigan Regional Health System
Prior to joining NMRHS as CFO, Mr. Scannell served as vice president of the Rawlings Company in Louisville, Ky. He started at the hospital on Oct. 18.

18. William Jennings, president and CEO of Connecticut’s Bridgeport Hospital
Mr. Jennings took over as president and CEO of Bridgeport Hospital on Oct. 1. He succeeds Robert Trefry, who served as hospital president and CEO since 1994 and retired earlier this year.

19. Brian Jepson, president of New York’s Rochester General Hospital
Mr. Jepson most recently served as COO of Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich. He will take over for Mark Clement, president of Rochester General Health System, who has led Rochester General Hospital in addition to his other leadership duties since 2001.

20. Jose R. Sanchez, CEO of Chicago’s Norwegian American Hospital
Mr. Sanchez comes to Norwegian American Hospital from Northern Manhattan Health Network in New York City, where he served as CEO. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience.

21. Steve Moreau, CEO of California’s St. Joseph Hospital
Mr. Moreau comes to St. Joseph Hospital from San Antonio Hospital in Upland, Calif., where he has served as president for the last five years. He succeeds former CEO Larry Ainsworth, who retired June 30.

22. Joe Dorko, CEO of Indiana’s Lutheran Health
Lutheran Health, based in Fort Wayne, Ind., has appointed Mr. Dorko CEO of the health system, making permanent the role he has filled on an interim basis since June. Mr. Dorko served as COO of Lutheran Hospital for eight years and CEO of the hospital for three.

23. Greg Duick, MD, president of Kansas Heart Hospital
Dr. Duick is one of the founders of Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. He will retain his title as chairman at Kansas Heart but will retire from medical practice to take on the responsibilities of his new position.

24. Richard Polheber, CEO of California’s Palm Drive Hospital
Mr. Polheber replaces Mike Lieb, who has served as interim CEO for the Sebastopol hospital since May. Mr. Polheber will start at Palm Drive on Dec. 1 at an annual salary of $250,000.

25. Ninfa Saunders, president of New Jersey’s Virtua Healthcare System
Ms. Saunders has been promoted to president and COO of Virtua Healthcare System, succeeding Richard P. Miller, who will continue as Virtua’s CEO. Ms. Saunders most recently served as executive vice president for the health system.

26. Lori Wightman, president of Minnesota’s Unity Hospital
Allina Hospital & Clinics has named Ms. Wightman president of Unity Hospital effective Jan. 20. She replaces interim president John Stoltenberg, MD, who has filled the position since the retirement of Rickie Ressler last year.

27. Mark Bryan, CEO of Florida’s Delray Medical Center
Mr. Bryan has served as Delray Medical Center’s interim CEO for the past three months. He most recently worked as senior vice president and COO of Birmingham, Ala.-based Baptist Health System.

28. Michael A. Slubowski, CEO of Kansas’ Sisters of Charity Leavenworth Health System
Mr. Slubowski will assume his new role as CEO in Jan. 2011. In the meantime, he will work with current SCLHS president and CEO William M. Murray for the remainder of 2010 and thereafter in an advisory role until Mr. Murray’s retirement in June 2011.

29. Phillip J. Mazzuca, COO of Tennessee’s IASIS Healthcare
Mr. Mazzuca formerly served as division president of IASIS. He brings to the CFO role nearly 30 years of hospital and healthcare leadership experience, having served most recently as president and CEO of Brim Holdings, which operates two hospitals in Texas and Colorado.

30. Grady W. “Skip” Philips III, CEO of Virginia’s Memorial Hospital
Mr. Philips was CEO for Houston Healthcare System in Warner Robins, Ga., for nearly two years before being terminated without explanation in May. He started work at Memorial Hospital in late October.
