15 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Hornell, N.Y.-based St. James Mercy Hospital tapped Leo Brideau to serve as interim president and CEO.

2. Jackson-based University of Mississippi Medical Center selected William Buck to serve as interim CEO of UMMC Grenada and UMMC Holmes County in Lexington.

3. Mary Black Health System-Spartanburg (S.C.) appointed Parkes Coggins CEO.

4. Pikeville (Ky.) Medical Center named Aaron Crum, MD, senior vice president, assistant CEO and CMO.

5. Hahnemann University Hospital’s CEO Michael Halter will depart April 13.

6. Bad Axe, Mich.-based Huron Medical Center selected Michael Johnston to serve as president and CEO, effective March 5.

7. Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network President and CEO Mike Keating is departing later this year.

8. Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health again made changes to its leadership team in the midst of ongoing bankruptcy proceedings and appointed Scott Landrum interim CEO.

9. Stephens Mundy, president and CEO of Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y., and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y., is retiring at the end of June.

10. Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M., dropped the ‘interim’ from CEO Caleb F. O’Rear’s title.

11. St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City tapped Mark Robinson to serve as CEO.

12. Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko named Steven Simpson CEO, effective April 2.

13. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester-Sewanee, with locations in Winchester, Tenn., and Sewanee, Tenn., appointed William R. Spray its permanent CEO.

14. Jennifer Sullivan left her position as CEO of Hornell, N.Y.-based St. James Mercy Hospital.

15. Sisseton, S.D.-based Coteau des Prairies Health Care System named Greg Weaver interim CEO.
