Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko named Steven Simpson CEO, effective April 2.

Here are four things to know:

1. Most recently, Mr. Simpson served as CEO of Tennova Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown, Tenn.

2. He previously held several leadership positions at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn.

3. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Association of Physician Liaisons.

4. Mr. Simpson will replace Rick Palagi, who is retiring in March.
