13 women making moves in healthcare

The following executive moves made by women have been reported by Becker's since Dec. 30:

1. Olevia Pitts, MD, chief medical officer of HCA's Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., left her role Jan. 3 to take a senior leadership role outside the organization.

2. Ashley McClellan is leaving her role as CEO of HCA's Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., effective March 1.

3. Brooke Baldwin, DNP, RN, was named vice president and chief nursing executive for Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University.

4. Sheila Miller, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer at Cleveland Clinic London. 

5. Maria Brennan, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital.

6. Stacie Mason was named senior vice president and CFO of Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont Vail Health. 

7. The Rev. Leah Gunning Francis, PhD, was named senior vice president and chief mission and values officer of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health.

8. Courtnay Caufield, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital in Los Angeles.

9. Sonya Selhorst was promoted to permanent president of Mercy Health-Defiance (Ohio) Hospital. 

10. Carole Peet, MSN, RN, is leaving her role as president and CEO of Yakima (Wash.) Valley Memorial.

11. Sunaina Kumar-Giebel was selected as interim director of the Glendale, Colo.-based VA Rocky Mountain Network.

12. Laurie Morrow Neely, MSN, APRN, was named chief nursing officer of Vicksburg, Miss.-based Merit Health River Region.

13. Marilyn Riley, DNP, was named vice president and chief nursing officer of Baptist Health Paducah (Ky.).
