Mercy Health promotes presidents at 3 hospitals

Cincinnati-based Mercy Health has named new presidents to three Ohio hospitals, according to news releases shared with Becker’s Jan. 5.

Sonya Selhorst was promoted to permanent president of Mercy Health-Defiance Hospital after serving in an interim capacity since July. She has served the hospital since 2013 and held various leadership roles, including chief nursing officer and chief operating officer. 

Andrew Morgan was promoted to permanent president of Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital and Mercy Health-Willard Hospital after serving in an interim capacity since July. He joined the health system in 2020 as CFO for the Defiance, Tiffin and Willard hospitals, as well as Mercy Health Life Flight Network, which provides the health system’s air and ground transportation.
