12 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Michael Collins, CEO of Manchester-based Eastern Connecticut Health Network, is retiring this year.

2. Baton Rouge, La.-based Woman’s Hospital selected Barbara Griffith, MD, to serve as CEO, effective in the fall.

3. Terry Gunn became market CEO of Providence Health in Columbia, S.C., and KershawHealth in Camden, S.C., effective Aug. 13.

4. AllianceHealth Woodward (Okla.) hospital has tapped Landon E. Hise to serve as CEO, effective Sept. 16.

5. Nantucket (Mass.) Cottage Hospital has tapped Jeanette Ives Erickson, DNP, RN, to serve as interim president and CEO.

6. Grand Rapids, Minn.-based Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital named Jean MacDonell president and CEO, effective immediately.

7. Galesburg (Ill.) Cottage Hospital tapped Bob Moore to serve as CEO, effective Aug. 19.

8. San Angelo (Texas) Community Medical Center has tapped Rodney Schumacher to serve as CEO, effective Aug. 18.

9. KershawHealth in Camden, S.C., appointed Sue Shugart CEO, effective Aug. 13.

10. Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, Fla., appointed David Walker interim CEO, effective immediately.

11. Deborah Weymouth, president and CEO of UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton (Mass.) Hospital, resigned for a new job opportunity.

12. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, with four locations in the state, named Cliff Wilson CEO of its Winchester and Sewanee campuses, effective Aug. 26.
