10 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich., named Gregg Beeg president and CEO, effective May 1.

2. Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., appointed Scott Boston, MD, president and CEO, effective June 3.

3. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health selected Vito Buccellato to serve as chief hospital executive of Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J.

4. Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital has appointed Shereef Elnahal, MD, president and CEO, effective July 15.

5. Fremont, Calif.-based Washington Hospital Healthcare System CEO Nancy D. Farber will retire in six months after 25 years in the post.

6. Gregg Gibbes will serve as administrator and CEO for Covington County Hospital in Collins, Miss., and Magee (Miss.) General Hospital per an agreement between the hospitals.

7. The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii, selected Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, to serve as its next president and CEO.

8. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health named Jason Kreitner chief hospital executive of Ocean Medical Center in Brick, N.J.

9. Atchison (Kan.) Hospital appointed Jeffery Perry CEO, effective July 1.

10. Sterling (Colo.) Regional MedCenter has appointed Wade Tyrrell CEO.
