The Queen’s Health Systems appoints Dr. Jill Hoggard Green CEO: 6 things to know

The Queen’s Health Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii, selected Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, to serve as its next president and CEO.

Six things to know:

1. Dr. Hoggard Green will join the Queen’s Health Systems in October.

2. She is currently president of Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.

3. She was COO of Asheville-based Mission Health until Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare acquired the health system in February.

4. Before joining Mission Health, she served as COO of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth’s Oregon region.

5. Dr. Hoggard Green succeeds Art Ushijima, who will retire in 2020 after a nearly 30-year tenure.

6. Dr. Hoggard Green and Mr. Ushijima will work together to ensure a smooth transition, and Mr. Ushijima will hold the title of adviser to the CEO until his retirement.
