Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., appointed Scott Boston, MD, president and CEO, effective June 3.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Boston is currently an emergency medicine physician and CMO of the hospital.
2. He previously was medical director of Passavant Area Hospital's emergency department.
3. He is a clinical assistant professor in the emergency medicine division at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield.
4. Dr. Boston succeeds Harry Schmidt, who is resigning, effective June 30.
