Sterling Regional MedCenter taps Wade Tyrrell as CEO: 4 notes

Sterling (Colo.) Regional MedCenter has appointed Wade Tyrrell CEO, according to the Journal-Advocate.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Tyrell became interim CEO of the hospital in January.

2. He was previously chief nursing officer of the hospital, which is part of Phoenix-based Banner Health.

3. Before joining Banner in 2014, he served in leadership roles at several hospitals in New Mexico, Texas and Tennessee.

4. Mr. Tyrell succeeded Hoyt Skabelund, who took on a systemwide role overseeing Banner Health’s rural and critical access hospitals.
