Omnicell’s solutions and tools will be interoperable with WellStar’s EHR system.
WellStar will implement the Omnicell XT Automated Dispensing Cabinets on its floors, the XT Anesthesia Workstation in its operating rooms and the Controlled Substance Manager in its central pharmacy. The health system also purchased various other Omnicell solutions, which will improve the accuracy of its medications prepared on-site.
“At WellStar Health System, we are focused on exceeding the expectations of our patients,” said WellStar Health System Vice President of Pharmacy Services Snehal Doshi. “By automating medication management at our hospitals, we will improve the patient experience and streamline the process for our providers and add another layer of patient safety when delivering care.”
