Three notes:
1. The health system has been working to install the Epic EHR for a year.
2. With the new EHR, Cape Fear Valley Health’s eight hospitals and numerous clinics have been integrated to a single records system.
3. Patients of the health system will also have access to Epic’s myChart patient portal, which allows users to manage appointments, communicate with providers and view test results.
