From joining a nationwide health information exchange to expanding its lab capabilities, here are four updates on Epic’s operations, software products and partnerships reported by Becker’s Hospital Review in February.

  1. Epic Systems was approved for onboarding to join the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement, a new health information exchange framework.
  2. American University of Beirut Medical Center became the first institution outside the U.S. to join Epic’s Cosmos network.
  3. Epic said it is expanding its lab capabilities to allow hospitals to more easily communicate with outside labs and diagnostic companies. The change would affect Epic’s Orders and Results Anywhere tool.
  4. Epic was named the top overall health IT software suite for the 13th year in a row by the 2023 Best in KLAS Awards.
