Donate Life America has recognized Epic for a new feature that allows patients to sign up to be organ donors in MyChart.
The nonprofit presented the EHR giant with the 2025 James S. Wolf, MD, Courage Award for the patient portal organ-donation registration button launched in May.
“Donate Life America is grateful to Epic for their courage, creativity and compassion,” said David Fleming, president and CEO of Donate Life America, in a Dec. 8 Epic news release. “By embedding donor registration into MyChart, Epic is transforming the willingness and generosity to donate into lifesaving action.”
