Charlotte, N.C.-based Advocate Health has invested in an interoperability startup as part of a $10 million funding round.

The 69-hospital system backed WellBeam in the series A investment led by Wittington Ventures. The company works with health systems to improve their interoperability with post-acute providers.

The startup said it plans to “break down EMR data silos and enable next-generation solutions for coordinated patient care,” according to a Nov. 19 news release.
